Esta investigación examina la participación política llevada a cabo en el municipio autónomo de Cherán durante el periodo de 2011 al 2019, correspondiente a sus primeros ocho años de autogobierno. La premisa fundamental de la tesis es que la forma de ver y entender la política influye en la manera en cómo se concreta; por ello, se realiza un análisis cualitativo de las conductas de participación que permite comprender las formas y dinámicas que adquiere en la vida cotidiana de la comunidad en función de las variables que intervienen directamente en su materialización, como lo son el consenso democrático –compuesto por la adhesión al régimen comunal y el sentido de eficacia– y el contexto sociopolítico –integrado por la autonomía y el sentido de comunidad–. Por tanto, más allá de identificar la manera en cómo se participa, se analizan los elementos subjetivos que la producen y definen.
This investigation examines the political participation carried out in the autonomous municipality of Cherán during the period from 2011 to 2019, corresponding to its first eight years of self-government. The fundamental premise of the dissertation is that the way politics is viewed and understood influences how it is realized; for this reason, a qualitative analysis of participatory behaviors is carried out, which makes it possible to understand the forms and dynamics that participation acquires in the daily life of the community according to the variables that directly intervene in its materialization, as are the democratic consensus –composed of the adherence to the communal regime and the sense of effectiveness– and the socio-political context –made up of autonomy and the sense of community–. Therefore, beyond identifying the way in which one participates, the subjective elements that produce and define its analyzed.
