Patentes y transferencia tecnológica: el caso de los inventores académicos en México, 1983-2017 Público Deposited
El objetivo de esta investigación doctoral es caracterizar la actividad inventiva patentada de los investigadores del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) adscritos a universidades e instituciones de investigación en México. En específico determinar las causas individuales, institucionales y de innovación que la incentivan. Identificar el proceso de transferencia tecnológica (TT) de patentes universitarias otorgadas por USPTO e IMPI. Finalmente, analizar la experiencia de UAM Iztapalapa (UAM-I). Se confirman las hipótesis: la TT depende de las funciones de la oficina universitaria (OTT); la propensión de investigadores SNI a inventar en patentes universitarias se asocia positivamente a: movilidad -para USPTO- estímulos académicos y tamaño del equipo de investigación -para IMPI-; en ambos casos positivamente al nivel SNI y al conocimiento en la patente. Negativamente a la edad cuadrática y a la OTT. Por último, en UAM-I la invención se motiva por factores relativos a la contribución científica y social y la TT es nula derivado de la escasa información sobre novedades universitarias.
The aim of this doctorate research is to characterize the patented inventive activity of the investigators from the National System Researchers (SNI) ascribed to universities and research institutions in México. In particularly to determinate the individual, institutional and nature-based causes of the innovation that encourage it. Moreover, identify the process of technological transfer (TT) of the university patents given by USPTO and IMPI. Finally, to analyse with a particular way the experience of UAM Iztapalapa (UAM-I). The arose hypothesis are confirmed: The TT depends on the functions which the university office (OTT) realises, the propensity of the investigators of the SNI to become inventors in university patents is associated positively to the academic mobility -in the case of the USPTO-, to academic stimuli, size of the research team in the case of the IMPI and in both cases positively to the SNI level and knowledge in the patent. Negatively to the quadratic age and OTT. Lastly, in the UAM-I, the invention is motivated by factors related to the contribution to science and to society and the null TT derivate from the scarce information about the university novelties.
