It was tested two synthetics supports: polyurethane foam (PUF) and nylon fiber (nylon wed). Both synthetic supports retain PCP by themselves, and then it was necessary to characterize the sorption of PCP in order to quantifier the PCP removed by the fungus. The kinetic results showed that the sorption of PCP in PUF and nylon fiber is fit to the pseudo second order model. The sorption of PCP in PUF reached the equilibrium time in approximate 2 h, while the nylon fiber reached the equilibrium time in approximate 5 days. After determining the equilibrium’s time of PCP in the both synthetic supports, it was determined the biggest concentration of PCF that it can be sorbed by both synthetic supports (saturation of PCP), through the sorption isotherm. The results of sorption isotherms of PCP in PUF and nylon fiber are fit to the Langmuir isotherm through the linearization type II. The PUF showed a maximum adsorption ability of 268.6 mg PCP g-1 PUF, while the nylon fiber showed a maximum adsorption ability of 3.0 mg PCP g-1 nylon. It was found that under conditions of saturation with PCF R. oryzae ENHE grew better into saturated nylon fiber with PCP than into PUF, because of the high PCP concentration sorbed by the PUF. Therefore, it was chosen the saturated nylon fiber with PCP as a support to immobilization of R. oryzae ENHE. The maximum growth of R. oryzae ENHE into saturated nylon fiber with PCP was observed at 36 h of cultivation, and it was 18.59 mg dry biomass g ˉ¹ nylon. %G spa %[ 2023-11-28 %9 info:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesis %~ UAM %W UAM
